I’m Anglo-German, married to a Frenchman,  living in Aix-en-Provence and moved here from London with our 3 children.  I’ve lived my life across multiple countries and continents.  During that time I have established that the most important element to integration is to be part of a community, essentially a substitute family abroad.

 

Whether in Brussels, Stuttgart, Oxford, London, Lusaka or now in Aix-en-Provence, I have always been very quick to build a strong network of friends.  I mostly meet new people at events, organised by friends, embassies, companies or schools. Having worked as a parent representative at my children’s international school CIPEC, I quickly realized how important our events were to creating an international community here in Aix-en-Provence.   Some of these events I’ve organised include Wine and Cheese parties, Halloween festivities, Chinese New Year celebrations, Charity Gala Dinners, Christmas Markets as well as other Networking events. 

 

I created Events of Provence to offer you the opportunity to meet new people and have unique experiences that will build memorable moments and friendships throughout your stay here and beyond.  Events of Provence offers a number of events throughout the year allowing you to come together whilst cooking, discovering Provence as well as fun parties celebrating key cultural moments of a number of different countries such as Chinese New Year and Halloween.  This will help you integrate in your newfound environment and make this adventure a truly unique one.  Events of Provence can also help you manage your own events whether these be corporate, private or school affairs.
